Lexie Cicale (she/her) is a painter, sculptor, textile, and installation artist/educator from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, currently living and working in Chicago. Lexie believes in making art as a form of empowerment, and enjoys hosting workshops and classes that serve as gathering places to exchange ideas and materials. Lexie graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she studied painting, wood bending, metalworking, foundry, and weaving.

In her personal practice, Lexie’s work invites the viewer to navigate a colorful play-scape where labor and play intertwine, and is rooted in choreography, moments of intimacy, color, textile patterns, and not taking yourself too seriously.
